one november thought


November chill has a way of shocking us into the realization of the passage of time. The quality of the chill on skin is different from the uniformity of summer’s conditioned indoor air. November’s air, not far from this northern hemisphere coastline, is wild, intemperate, prickly. It’s an awakening in the midst of a season preparing for sleep.
